Calling-Cards-01

Last Thursday night in the Berkeley Suite in Glasgow I launched my first novel. Calling Cards is now officially released and available for purchase.

The launch event was a lot of fun. To quote from Ringwood Publishing’s official account of the evening:

“On Thursday 13th February in a crowded Berkeley Suite, the official launch was a great success. Gordon Johnston made a witty and sensitive speech about his struggle to finally become a published author. Vivienne Farris did a reading from the beginning of Calling Cards that stimulated a general desire to learn more about where the story goes. After an individual question and answer session Gordon later joined the Ringwood Writers Panel to help field a series of challenging questions from the large and curious audience.”

The Writers’ Panel included Ringwood’s newest signing – Archie Macpherson. And yes he did buy a copy of my book. Even asked me to sign it for him too …

“So,” I hear you ask. “Just how do I get a hold of the hottest new Glasgow based psychological thriller in town?”

Well, there are several ways to purchase a copy of Calling Cards.

It is available in traditional book form directly from Ringwood Publishing:  http://ringwoodpublishing.com/catalogue/calling-cards/

It is also available for the Kindle via Amazon in the UK at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Calling-Cards-Gordon-Johnston-ebook/dp/B00IDHYHPQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1392282805&sr=1-1&keywords=gordon+johnston

And for those of you in the US the link is: http://www.amazon.com/Calling-Cards-Gordon-Johnston-ebook/dp/B00IDHYHPQ/ref=sr_1_1_title_0_main?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1392236035&sr=1-1

I’m sure that it can also be found on the various other country stores in Amazon by searching for the title and my name.

Now it goes without saying that I will be immensely grateful to everyone who purchases a copy. There were a fair few pre-orders and I spent a lot of time at the launch signing copies, so sales have got off to a good start. But us struggling newly published authors need to make a living ….

And if I could ask one more favour? I’m sure you know that you can leave comments and reviews on the Amazon web site. It would be great if you could take a moment to post some thoughts.

Thank you!
